Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of lifeunmired.com and the coaching and consulting services of Unmired Consulting LLC ("Unmired," "we," "us"). By booking a call, buying a package, or using the site, you agree to them. Paid coaching clients also sign a coaching agreement; where the two differ, the signed agreement controls.
1. What we offer
Unmired provides career and leadership coaching, leadership development design and facilitation, and workplace communication consulting. Every engagement begins with a free First Step Call so both of us can decide whether it is the right fit. Coaching packages are agreed on that call, confirmed in a signed coaching agreement, and then purchased. Organizational programs are scoped and quoted separately.
2. Coaching is not therapy, and this is not advice
Coaching is a professional partnership focused on your goals, development, and forward progress. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, or treatment for any mental health condition, and it is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial, or tax advice. If an issue comes up that needs one of those professionals, we will say so and encourage you to seek them. Coaching does not diagnose or treat, and we may decline or end an engagement where coaching is not the right support.
What you do with coaching is your decision. We do not guarantee any particular result, promotion, hire, or outcome; those depend on your effort and on circumstances outside our control. Nothing on this site is a promise of results.
3. The First Step Call
The First Step Call is free, lasts about 30 minutes, and takes place online. Requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance, and each request is confirmed by us before it is final. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please tell us at least 24 hours before the call. One free call per person; further conversations are part of a paid engagement.
4. Coaching packages
Packages are sold only after a First Step Call and a signed coaching agreement, which sets out the number of sessions, the program length, the fee, and any assessment included. The current terms for our coaching packages, which your agreement will repeat, are:
The program starts on the date of the Orientation Call.
A signed coaching agreement is required before the Orientation Call.
All sessions must be completed within the program period set in your agreement (for example, 15 weeks for Quick Shift), scheduled weekly or every other week.
Sessions take place online unless we agree otherwise in writing.
If you need to reschedule a session, tell us at least 24 hours before it. Notice within 24 hours, or not attending, counts as a completed session and is not refunded.
If we need to reschedule, we will give you at least 24 hours' notice and offer an agreed alternative. If no time can be agreed, you are entitled to a refund of that session's fee.
Unused sessions expire at the end of the program period unless we extend it in writing.
Package fees are otherwise non-refundable once the Orientation Call has taken place. Before that, a package is refundable in full on request.
5. Payment
Package fees are paid in advance through the payment link we send after your agreement is signed, processed by Wix Payments, unless your agreement provides for installments. Organizational work is invoiced on the terms in the proposal or statement of work. Prices are in US dollars. No sales tax is charged on coaching services in Texas.
6. Assessments
If your program includes a Birkman assessment, you will complete it on Birkman International's platform under Birkman's terms. Your results are used only for your coaching and are not shared with anyone else without your written consent.
7. Confidentiality
We keep the content of coaching confidential, as described in our Privacy Policy. If a third party (such as your employer) sponsors your coaching, we may confirm attendance and general progress, but not the content of sessions, unless you agree otherwise in writing.
8. Your account
Package clients receive a client login to view and book their sessions. Keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
9. Using this site
The content of lifeunmired.com (text, design, images, and materials we provide in coaching) belongs to Unmired Consulting LLC or its licensors. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Please do not copy, republish, or sell it without permission. We try to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided as is, and we may change or remove content at any time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, Unmired Consulting LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the site or the services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the engagement concerned.
11. Ending an engagement
Either of us can end a coaching engagement with written notice. Refunds, if any, follow Section 4 and your coaching agreement.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
13. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms; signed coaching agreements are not changed by updates to this page.
